For the road option, there are a number of routes to be taken and they include the Kampala-Gulu-Kitgum-Kidepo route for 571 kilometers in 10 hours. Another route is the Kampala-Karuma-Lira-Kotido-Kaabong-Kidepo for 705 kilometers in 12 hours and the Kampala-Mbale-Sironko-Moroto-Kotido-Kaabong-Kidepo route for 740 kilometers in 12 hours.
