Ways of Getting to Kidepo Valley National Park
There are two main ways of getting to Kidepo Valley National Park and they include by air and road. Flights to Kidepo Airstrip normally originate from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi airstrip provided by Aerolink or Bar Aviation. Flights take about two hours to two hours and fifteen minutes.
For the road option, there are a number of routes to be taken and they include the Kampala-Gulu-Kitgum-Kidepo route for 571 kilometers in 10 hours. Another route is the Kampala-Karuma-Lira-Kotido-Kaabong-Kidepo for 705 kilometers in 12 hours and the Kampala-Mbale-Sironko-Moroto-Kotido-Kaabong-Kidepo route for 740 kilometers in 12 hours. The route you choose is based on convenience and other attractions you wish to see en-route.
